Federal Skilled Worker Program (FSWP)

One of the best immigration programs for getting a Canadian PR in 2021 is the Federal Skilled Worker Program (FSWP). FSWP is one of the three immigration streams in the Canada Express Entry System. The three immigration streams are:

  1. Federal Skilled Worker Program (FSWP)
  2. Federal Skilled Trades Program (FSTP)
  3. Canadian Experience Class (CEC)

Immigration, Refugees, and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) launched the Express Entry program in the year 2015. This is a point-based system designed to evaluate Permanent Residency (PR) candidates.

FSWP is a program under the Express Entry stream that provides pathways for skilled working professionals to Canada PR visas.

This program is a part of the Canadian economic immigration stream. Any skilled working professional can apply under FSWP in 2021 to obtain a Canadian Permanent Residency visa.

There are six factors that are currently being used by the Federal Skilled Worker category for the assessment of applied candidates. These factors are:

  1. Age
  2. Education
  3. Language proficiency
  4. Working experience
  5. Employment and
  6. Adaptability

The minimum required points for an applicant to be eligible to apply under this category is 67 out of 100.
