Express Entry Canada program manages applications for three major Canadian immigration programs, listed below:

  • Federal Skilled Worker Program (FSWP)
  • Federal Skilled Trades Program (FSTP)
  • Canadian Experience Class (CEC)

NOTE: PNP also uses Express Entry for their candidates as well.

Applicant do not need a job offer letter for Canada Express Entry. FSWP and CEC can apply and qualify without a job offer letter. Only FSTP needs a valid job offer or a Canadian qualification certificate. However, a valid job offer letter can certainly add 50-500 CRS points to your Express Entry profile.

There is no age limit for candidate to apply in the Express Entry program. But age does impact your CRS score. The maximum points are awarded to age group 20-29, after this progressively decreases. After the age 45, no points are added to your profile.

As per the recent draws, CRS score cut-off ranges from 475-510 for general draws and for the category draws, the CRS ranges from 420-480. IRCC is targeting category based draws more. This is because these draws target specific occupations like STEM, healthcare, or trades. These draws also tend to have lower CRS cut-off as well.

Most trusted and worked out ways to increase your CRS score are mentioned below:

  • Increase your IELTS or CELPIP test score.
  • Gaining Canadian or foreign work experience.
  • Increasing your level of education (Higher Degree).
  • Learning French language and securing CLB 7 or more in the French will increase the chances drastically.
  • Obtaining a PNP nomination (+600 CRS points)
