New Brunswick is a uniquely scenic and beautiful part of Canada located on the east coast of the North American continent. New Brunswick is also one of the four maritime provinces and is located on the Canadian Atlantic coast. The capital city of New Brunswick is Fredericton it’s also the largest city in Atlantic Canada and its second to Montréal as Canada’s largest French-speaking community.
With the purpose of making New Brunswick a great place to live for new Canadians, the province of New Brunswick regularly organizes events overseas for foreign nationals who wish to immigrate to Canada. To this end, you are invited to attend one of our upcoming events so that you can learn about job opportunities, skills shortages, and immigration streams. Through these information sessions, those who are successful will be eligible to immigrate to Canada through the New Brunswick Provincial Nominee Program (NBPNP) or the Atlantic Immigration Pilot Program (AIPP).
As announced on November 5, 2017, New Brunswick launched the New Brunswick Express Entry Labour Market Stream (EELMS). This program is aligned with the federal Express Entry immigration system, enabling applicants to receive faster processing on their applications. Similar to other designated Express Entry provinces/territories, the Province is committed to supporting this stream while Alberta welcomes our inaugural Atlantic Immigration Pilot candidates.
The New Brunswick Entrepreneurial Stream targets experienced business owners or senior business managers who are willing to invest in a New Brunswick business that they will manage. For an applicant to qualify, they must have a particular net worth and be willing to use their business management experience to start a new business or purchase an existing business in New Brunswick.
The applicant must also demonstrate that they have the financial capacity to establish or purchase a viable business in New Brunswick through the creation of at least three jobs for Canadian citizens or permanent residents of Canada.
The program has two streams: the Entrepreneur Stream, which is for those with significant net worth who want to start a new business; and the Investor Stream, which is for those with significant net worth who want to purchase an existing New Brunswick company.
Note: As of Oct 18th, 2018, this program has been temporarily suspended and is not accepting new applicants.
The New Brunswick Post-Graduate Entrepreneurial Stream is open to recent graduates of New Brunswick universities and colleges who have started or bought a business in the province and operated it for at least one year. If a candidate meets these requirements and has intentions to settle in New Brunswick permanently, they might qualify for a provincial nomination through this particular stream.
The candidate for this program must meet the following pre-requisite requirements:
The New Brunswick Skilled Workers with Employer Support Stream aims to target highly skilled foreign workers with a valid job offer from an employer in New Brunswick.
The stream was developed in response to the needs of the New Brunswick labour market and industry sectors. The purpose of the stream is to attract highly skilled workers who will contribute to New Brunswick’s economy by filling specific labour market needs.
For the applicant to be eligible in this stream, they must have:
The Atlantic Immigration Pilot Program (AIPP) is an employment-based permanent residence program for specifically skilled workers. The AIPP was developed in partnership between the federal government and Canada’s Atlantic provinces as a means to address labour shortages in the region.
The AIPP will be launched in New Brunswick in February 2019. The province’s share of the intake will be determined based on its population share (New Brunswick’s population represents approximately 10% of all residents across the Atlantic provinces). The province has also developed an Employer Portal to assist employers with finding employees who meet their needs through this program.
